ABOUT
Hi! My name is Chelsea Babin and I am a creative/multi-media journalist. I currently have my B.S. and M.S. in Communications from UTK.
I graduated from Lenoir City High School and started my collegiate career at Middle Tennessee State University in 2014. I spent my freshman year of college working with MTSU Sidelines-the student-run paper. After transferring to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I have taken all of the core journalism classes and worked with the Daily Beacon, Tennessee Journalist, and SCOOP Magazine on campus. I have graduated from UTK with a B.S. in Journalism and Electronic Media and a minor in English in May 2018. I immediately started back in August 2018 to start working towards my Master's degree in journalism. I am trained in both print and digital media.
Although Journalism is a strong passion of mine, I also enjoy photography, books, films, painting (art in general) and going on adventures with friends and family. My dream is to someday travel and write about and photograph places around the world. Being an avid social media user, I hope to someday turn them into travel blog and share my adventures and findings with the world.
I try to stay as up to date as possible on all news—but usually, entertainment takes precedence. Nearly 95% of the time, I am able to tell you about the latest celebrity gossip or the latest song released. So with that being said, I one day hope to work for a media outlet that has everything to do with entertainment and or social media.
